Anonymous student identifiers allow for longitudinal studies of student learning. Anonymous school identifiers and various school-level characteristics (e.g., student race/ethnicity, free or reduced-price lunch recipient status) are also available.
Individuals with research ideas aligned with E4’s research priorities are invited to submit a proposal to e4center@northwestern.edu. Proposals are reviewed on an ongoing basis by the E4 Research Advisory Committee. Proposals should be submitted as a .docx or .pdf and should not exceed 1500 words. Proposals should include the following:
- Purpose/guiding research questions
- Conceptual framework(s) informing the work
- Analytic approach
- Anticipated audiences and contribution to the field
- Explanation of how this work aligns with E4’s research priorities
- Proposed timeline
We encourage applicants to reach out to the E4 Center to discuss project ideas prior to proposal submission. Our team would be happy to answer questions about available data and provide more context on our center’s research priorities. Please reach out to us at e4center@northwestern.edu any time during the application process!
